Beschreibung: The Transport Scheduler is accountable for executing the process of ordering and scheduling all light product deliveries in a prescribed area to retail and commercial customers, via proprietary or contract carriers, with an emphasis on customer service and cost management and truck productivity/utilization. They schedule deliveries for terminals and coordinate with distribution terminals, retail, and commercial marketing and contract carriers to optimize delivery service. The operation is a central scheduling environment and shift work is required. The operation is 24X7 with most employees working a schedule of 4-10 hour shifts per week (day shift and night shift required). Schedules and prioritizes bulk product (light oil) deliveries to service stations, bulk plants and commercial accounts for multiple terminal delivery areas Ensures that deliveries are in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements Coordinates available equipment and manpower with appropriate terminals Prioritizes deliveries, optimizes company assets, and assigns least cost delivery option Initiates appropriate action to resolve truck/driver problems related to delivery Works with USPL, FVC, and Retail Marketing groups to meet their delivery needs and resolve any problems that develop. Reporting Relationships: Reports directly to Transport Team Lead Has no direct reports Job Dimensions None specified Accountabilities Coordinates with Product Supply(Fuels Value Chain), Distribution Terminals, Marketing customers and contract carriers to optimize delivery service ?Considers all stakeholders when resolving issues and initiates appropriate actions to resolve issues related to delivery efficiency Schedules and prioritize deliveries to service stations, contract customers and/or commercial accounts, for multiple terminal delivery areas Ensures that deliveries are in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements Determines/coordinates/communicates resource requirements (equipment and manpower) with appropriate Terminals Contacts approved carriers to schedule deliveries Prioritizes deliveries, optimize company assets, and assign least cost delivery option Monitors implementation of schedule and moves deliveries as required to avoid delivery disruptions ?Promotes customer satisfaction and service, handle disruptions Initiates appropriate actions to resolve truck/driver problems related to delivery Supports and communicate with marketing groups to meet their delivery needs, strategies, and resolve any problems which develop Focuses on delivery reliability and fleet optimization ?Provides upward feedback on scheduling process and work with peers to continuously improve process Handles phone calls for problem solving/resolution Prints appropriate reports from scheduling system, and scans and uploads as required to provide for reporting Maintains and prepares logs and reports as needed to track scheduling performance Other items related to scheduling operations Experience Strong background and experience in transport related business and systems Understanding of and/or previous experience in Scheduling of light oil product deliveries ?PC skills to include entire Microsoft Office Suite, MapPoint, Access Excel capabilities are important, with demonstrated proficiency in functions such as v-lookups, pivot tables and data management tools. PC skills in Business Objects or Aspen (scheduling application) are a plus, as is experience working with databases and SQL Capable of querying and assembling data from multiple sources into a format which can provide meaningful business context. Kenntnisse: . Zweck der Stelle: • Wagon fleet maintenance and revision management • 3rd party invoice processing rail/barge 3. Management- und Wirtschafts-kennzahlen: •Wagon fleet size of ~2.200 wagons. 4. Beschreibung der Hauptaufgaben / Wichtigste Zuständigkeiten: - Monitors and processes incoming wagon damage notifcations, proactively contacts relevant bodies to determine adequate handling of the wagon to ensure timely responsive actions. - Ensure timely wagon revisions by coordinating with lessors, load and unload locations - Monitor wagon fleet in terms of transfers to workshops as requested, durations of workshop stays and transfers back into operation, take responsive actions if required. - Ensure invoicing of maintenance costs to liable third parties if applicable. - Monitor and drive equipment change campaigns with lessors and workshops. - Maximise fleet availability. - Minimise maintenance costs and related freights. - Handle and process incoming invoices for fleet maintenance, freight supplementary costs, and wagon lease and barge related invoices (factual check, coding, focal point for issues/questions from GBS business service center and invoice sender) - Contribute to simplification activities in this work area. 5. Technische & fachliche Kompetenzen: Berufsausbildung und Weiterbildung: 1 [Advanced apprenticeship] Ausblidung • Abgeschlossene kaufmännische Ausbildung • Berufsspez. Weiterbildung (z.B. Betriebswirt VWA) oder langjährige Berufserfahrung • Gute Englisch-Kenntnisse in Wort und Schrift 6.
